Case
Study-Port Everglades, Ft. Lauderdale, FL
Port Everglades in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, saw a need to provide
protection for both the Broward County Sheriffs who perform
the inspections as well as the vehicles and customers who
pass through their gates.
To
date, we have constructed and installed four shelters at the
port, ranging in size from 20' wide to 64' wide. The smaller
shelter is used at the entrance to the Convention Center,
which allows only cars. The largest shelter is used inside
the port to provide protection for an x-ray machine that screens
incoming cargo and the trucks handling the cargo. The main
entrance gate has a 20' wide x 60' long shelter that was initially
20' wide x 20' long and was expanded by 40' as traffic increased.
